Dora the Explorer Flower and Butterfly Cake

I love this cake.  It is so girly and pretty.  I just made the tops of the tiers to look like big pink flowers to match the butterfly Dora cake topper.  This was marble cake too.

One Direction Cake

This cake is for the sister of the puppy cake.  They had their party together and she loves One Direction.  I cut out their logo and added stripes, polka dots, and stars.  It has a banner with the group's names on it.  It was marble cake as well.

Polka Dot Puppies Cake

I made this cake for our Cousin's daughter.  She loves puppies, so it has cute purple polka dot puppies and hearts on  top.  It was marble cake inside.

Toy Story Cow Print Cake

I made this Toy Story themed cake for a lady at work.  Her little boy was turning 1 and loves Toy Story.  She had her own toys to put on top.  I also made her a smash cake to match.  This has chocolate cow print on top, and a chocolate fence around the bottom.   It was yellow cake inside.

25th Birthday Cake with Stars

This is a great cake for a guy.  Not too frilly.  Can be done for a girl as well.  Simple sheet cake.  I think this one was chocolate cake.

The Call of the Wildman "Turtle Man" Cake

LIVE ACTION!
This little boy loved the show "Call of the Wildman".  It has the Turtle Man pulling a snapping turtle out of the pond that is surrounded by cattails.

Pink and White Polka Dots, Cupcakes, and Bows Cake

This cake is like the green, yellow, and orange one....just PINK!  It features a large cupcake shaped tier on top that can be easily removed for the little one to SMASH!  This cake was white cake for the bottom tier, dark chocolate for the middle tier, and white cake for the cupcake on top.

Poker Table Cake

I did this cake for a co-worker's daughter's sweet 16 party.  They had it at San Miguel's coffee shop on the square in Winchester.  They decorated with all sorts of cute poker themed decorations, and had poker tables set up to play games.  I made poker chip mints to go along with the cake, but forgot to get a picture.  (Seems like this is an ongoing theme to my posts!)  The cake was marble with buttercream icing and marshmallow fondant decorations.

Blue Baby Shower Cake

My cousin-in-law and I gave our other cousin a baby shower this past summer.  We did it in blues and white, with cheescake brownies, lemon and almond cookies, fancy shmancy chips and spinach dip, fruit tray with dip, pinwheels, and fruited tea....oh and CAKE!!!  I love the spider mums and the bows on the trays.  The tea was a nice change to traditional punch which is sometimes sooooo sweet.  It was refreshing since it was so hot outside (and inside too!).   The cake was white velvet with citrus buttercream decorated with a big fondant bow on top.   I made a really pretty diaper cake, but unfortunately I did not get a picture of it!!  Oh well, maybe next time.

Pink and White Baby Shower

A simple white velvet cake with a big fondant bow and accents.

A perfect pink and white baby shower.  None of that cutesy nursery stuff.

A smaller size diaper cake for decoration and gift.

Perfect oreo truffles.

50th Birthday Cake with Fresh Red Roses

My husband made these beautiful cutting boards.

I helped my friend give her step-mother a wine and cheese 50th birthday party.  I made the cake, the nuts, and helped with flower arranging and set-up.

My husband, Joshua, made the beautiful cutting boards that the cheese is displayed on.  He is really talented.  Check out his blog  woodworksbyjoshua.blogspot.com .

The cake is white velvet (my new favorite) with fresh strawberry filling and citrus buttercream.  There are beautiful red roses arranged on top with thin sparkle candles.  The nuts are Union Station Bar Nuts deliciously made with brown sugar and rosemary.  There were fruit skewers, 3 types of cheese and crackers, hummus with pita chips, Bruschetta with Panetini, chocolate covered cherries, and of course...wine.  It was a beautiful party and everyone had a great time.

Pregnant Belly Cake

I loved making this one.  It is covered in fondant and decorated with chocolate fondant.  It's great for your baby shower, or it could be done a little differently for a bachelor party!

Hot Pink Zebra Stripes Cake

This is a 2 tier white cake with buttercream icing and marshmallow fondant accents.  The tag is written with food markers, and the topper is floral wire with fondant beads.

Blue Zebra Stripes Cake with Fondant Bow

This cake was for an 11-year old girl.  She wanted zebra stripes and blue.  I added the bow for the topper.  Had a slight accident with the bow and a piece of it broke off of the bottom, but not too bad.  The tiers are 9" and 6" and feeds 35.  The cake is white and has buttercream icing with fondant accents.

Bama Football Cake

Ok, had to make a Bama cake.  It was hard, but I managed to suffer through it.  It is a simpler version of the Vols football cake.  This football is a fondant plaque instead of a 3-D football made of rice krispie treats.  The tag is a cut-out helmet. The cake is yellow with buttercream icing.

Vols Football Cake

This was a fun birthday cake to make.  It is a 10" square Strawberry Delight Cake with buttercream icing and fondant accents.  The football is made from Rice Krispie Treats covered in fondant.  Strawberry Delight Cake is sooo good!  It is made with real strawberries and cream cheese.  So moist and delicious!  GO VOLS!

Butterflies and Flowers cake

Here's a sweet 2-tier cake decorated with fondant butterflies and flowers. I LOVE this cake. It's just so pretty for a little girl. The same idea can be applied for boys as well with dinosaurs, sports, trains, or cars and trucks for the theme.
