My customer's son wanted a cake with him in a tree stand. So, here's a cake with a deer hunter sitting in a tree. I later figured out how to do the tree stand, but too late. I'll try it on the next one. He still got what he wanted and was happy. It is white cake with buttercream icing. The tree is chocolate buttercream, and the hunter, border and topper are out of fondant.

Stump Cake
This cake was for a lady's husband who owns a tree service. It was a cake pictured on the Publix website. It had toy chainsaws on it, but I could not find anything like that. Since this was a rushed order, I did not have time to make them out of fondant. The stump is made from a jumbo cupcake turned upside down. It is marble cake with fresh sliced strawberries and buttercream for the filling.

Woodworking Cake
So, August 4th is my husband's birthday and he is a fantastic woodworker. He makes everything from hand-turned pens, cutting boards, birdhouses, children's toys, and more. This cake is to celebrate his birthday as well as his great talent. In celebrating his talents, I short-cut mine! Normally I would have made the tools out of fondant and gum paste, but time did not allow this and the fantastic "Dollar Tree" was too hard to pass up! So I airbrushed the cake to look a little like wood and placed the tools on top. There is a planer, a saw, and a screw driver. Phillips head, not flat head, because flat head screws bring out the worst language in my husband! Happy Birthday Josh, I love you!

Finally....more cake pics!!!
I finally went to Walmart and got the pictures off of my phone on to a CD! It took all of 30 minutes to do, not sure what made me put it off. The next 11 posts are of those cakes in which some are over 2 years old!! Enjoy, and thanks for your patience!!
English Rose Garden Wedding Cake
I made 945 individual roses, flowers, and petals for this 3-tier wedding cake this July. The cake was yellow with buttercream icing. The roses were made a few days in advance out of royal icing, and arranged on the cake later. I actually had Josh cut down the pillars after this picture was made, so the tiers weren't so far apart and wiggly. I loved making this cake, it has to be one of my favorites. My phone didn't do the colors justice, they were so much more vibrant than the picture shows.
